What is Secure Traveler?

Secure Traveler is a travel risk assessment platform that generates intelligence-grade destination briefs for business and private travelers. Each report scores a destination 1-100 and covers eight threat categories, drawing on official government advisories and open-source intelligence feeds, synthesised with AI. It was built by STRATCOR, LLC, a company founded by a retired U.S. Army intelligence officer.

How much does Secure Traveler cost?

A free account includes 3 full travel risk reports. Report Credits are $24.99 for 3 reports. The Traveler plan is $14.99 per month and includes 15 reports per month. The Corporate plan is $299 per month and includes 100 reports per seat per month with team management and API access.

What does a travel risk report include?

Each report opens with a BLUF summary and an overall 1-100 risk score, then covers eight categories: crime, targeted risks, cyber, intellectual-property risk, identity and financial risk, transportation, embassy and emergency information, and medical and health. Reports also include an Emergencies Smart Card with local emergency numbers, nearby hospitals and embassy contact details, a pre-departure checklist and a trusted contact report. Reports export to PDF.

Where does Secure Traveler get its data?

Reports draw on official government travel advisories from the U.S. State Department, UK FCDO, Australian Smartraveller and Global Affairs Canada, health guidance from the CDC and WHO, and open-source feeds including GDELT, NewsAPI, InSight Crime, UNODC, Numbeo, GDACS, USGS and ReliefWeb. Every report records which sources were available when it was generated, and says so if one was not.

Is there a Secure Traveler mobile app?

Yes. Secure Traveler is available as a free iPhone app on the App Store, with in-app purchases. The app shares one account with the website, so reports generated on either are available on both.

Who is Secure Traveler for?

It is built for business travelers, security and travel-risk managers responsible for corporate duty of care, HR teams sending staff abroad, NGO and humanitarian field staff, journalists, and private travelers going somewhere unfamiliar. The Corporate plan adds team management, bulk generation and API access for organisations tracking travel risk across many employees.

How long does a travel risk assessment take?

A full assessment is generated in about two minutes. Enter the destination and travel dates, choose which briefs to include, and the report builds while you wait.
